Minister Courtney has today announced that specific businesses, community groups and event operators currently required to collect contact tracing information under the existing Public Health direction need to register and commence using the Check in TAS app by 1 May 2021. All venues and events that currently use other methods to check in patrons will be required to change over to the free Check in TAS app.

Business Tasmania will offer a range of assistance. The Business Tasmania hotline (1800 440 026) will serve as the first port of call to support businesses and event organizers who need assistance. Customers requiring further assistance beyond their initial call will have a variety of options available to them that may include:
- Continued over the phone support
- Face to face case management support (scheduled for when the Business Tasmania team is in region)
- Webinar/Info sessions
