From Tuesday 21 December face masks will be mandatory in public indoor settings including on public transport and tour buses.
Face masks will be required in public areas of accommodation venues such as the lobby and restaurants, however not in a hotel room. Masks can be removed to eat and drink but must be replaced once finished.

Masks and other public health measures (social distancing, hand hygiene, cough and sneeze etiquette) are important in helping to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Experience shows that when a high number of people in the community use a face mask the spread of COVID-19 is reduced.
They are especially important where physical distancing is difficult, there are crowds or where you are in close contact with a person. They are already mandatory in higher-risk settings such as health settings and large sporting events.
